This is the first in our Meet the Publisher series. Lily Coyle of Beaver’s Pond Press will have a chat with us at the Boat Club Restaurant in the Fitger’s Complex. Lily, an author herself, will explain how to successfully approach a hybrid publisher and exact what a hybrid publisher is and does.
As it explains on Beaver’s Pond Press website: “There are about 1,000 different ways to publish a book, and you just want someone to help you figure out what to do. We’ve published over 1,000 books, and we’re very good at helping authors figure out what to do. You need someone to listen, someone to grasp what you’re trying to achieve, someone to be realistic about what it takes to do this right. We are the real deal. Our process is all human interaction, judgment calls, tough love, and hard truth.”
We’re hoping to have authors published by the press on hand and the Bookstore at Fitger’s, our partner in this event, will sell those books. The Inn at Fitger’s is also a supporter.
